The MSD of Lawrence Township has a reputation for high achievement, with eight National Blue Ribbon Schools, standardized test scores consistently above state and national averages, and a high school graduation rate of over 85 percent, which ranks them in the top 5 of all Marion County high schools. More than 75 percent of students pursue post secondary education. The district’s Mission calls for empowering “all students . . . to contribute and succeed as self-directed, life-long learners in a competitive global community.” This commitment to achievement for all students is underscored by our Core Value: “Embracing diversity contributes to the strength of a community.”
The district offers two comprehensive high schools with the International Baccalaureate program and diploma and a comprehensive selection of Advanced Placement (AP) courses; a high-tech career center; two middle level preparatory schools; eleven elementary magnet schools; four early learning centers; an alternative school; and a Diploma Recovery Program for Lawrence Township residents, 18 years of age and older.
