JumpStart (June 5 - June 29, 2023) is the MSD of Lawrence Township’s no-cost summer program, intended to provide structured academic support and high levels of engagement, providing a "JumpStart" for the upcoming school year.
JumpStart will be held every Monday through Thursday, beginning on Monday, June 5 through Thursday, June 29, 2023. There will be no programming on Monday, June 19 in observation of Juneteenth. The program is open to all students entering Grades 1 through 8. Students entering Pre-K and Kindergarten in August of 2023 may enroll in the Early Learning Summer Program, our transition program to year round preschool. Grades 9 & 10 are by invitation. JumpStart will be housed at all elementary and middle school buildings and students will attend the school to which they are assigned for the 2023-2024 school year. High School JumpStart will be housed at McKenzie Center for Innovation & Technology. Lawrence Township eCampus (LTeC) will continue to be available for students to earn high school credit.
All preschool students will be invited to extend their learning at our summer preschool camp. The camp will be Monday through Friday June 5th through July 21st. This learning opportunity is offered at no cost to families.

Ltec high school summer courses
ELC/Elementary JumpStart - Open Enrollment
Students entering Pre-K and Kindergarten in August of 2023 may enroll in the Early Learning Summer Program, our transition program to year round preschool.
Students entering Grades 1 through 6 in August of 2023 may enroll in the Elementary JumpStart program. This full-day, in-person program is open to all students and will include Humanities, STEM, and Clubs. Programming will be available for English Language Learners, students receiving Special Education services, and those in Lifeskills programming.
Meal service will be provided and transportation will be available to those residing within the MSD of Lawrence Township.
Program Hours: 8 AM - 2 PM
Aftercare and Friday care options will be available at no cost to families. Aftercare will be available between 2 PM - 5 PM Monday through Thursday. Transportation will not be provided from Aftercare.
Students enrolled in JumpStart at an Elementary School may attend Friday Care from 8 AM - 5 PM from June 5 through Friday, June 30. Transportation is NOT provided on Fridays.
Middle School JumpStart - Open Enrollment
Students entering grades 7 and 8 for the 2023-2024 school year may enroll in the Middle School JumpStart program. This half-day, in-person program will focus on instruction in Humanities (English & Social Studies), STEM (Science & Math), an and elective course focused on Graduation Pathways/Career & Technical Education (CTE). Programming will be available for English Language Learners, students receiving Special Education services, and those in Lifeskills programming.
Meal service will be provided and transportation will be available to those residing within the MSD of Lawrence Township. No Aftercare or Friday care will be available.

Bridge to Algebra and English 9/10 – By Invitation Only
The Bridge to Algebra & English 9/10 program will run at Lawrence Central High School and Lawrence North High School. This half-day, in-person program for incoming 9th and 10th grade students will be by invitation and will emphasize critical skills for Algebra I and English 9/10. Included will be a Graduation Pathways/Career & Technical Education (CTE) preview and an orientation to high school. Instruction will take place Monday through Thursday.
Both Meal Service and Transportation are included at no cost.

Lawrence Township eCampus (LTeC) - Open Enrollment
LTeC summer programming will take place June 5 through July 14 and provides high school students the ability to earn high school credit in an online environment. This open-enrollment program is primarily asynchronous with a synchronous component. Thirty-three different credit-bearing courses will be offered. This cost per class is $25 for in-district students and $50 for out-of-district students.
