Forest Glen Robotics on the Move

Last weekend  the 4 Forest Glen Robotics teams (10525A, 10525B, 10525C, 10525D) were in a competition where they Pair Up with other teams in Alliances in Teamwork Challenges as well as work as one team in Skills Challenges (Driving & Program) and Share Design Process and separate STEM projects.FG-Robotics.jpg

All 4 of Forest Glen Teams made it to Finals of Teamwork Challenges finishing 1st Place (2 teams paired together and in pictured to the right - 10525A & 10525D), along with the other 2 teams finishing in 2nd (10525B) and 3rd place (10525C).

- Two teams (A&D) which finished in 1st place got automatic invitations to State Championship which will be held March 10th at Lucas Oil Stadium.
- A 3rd team (10525B) won a separate Design Award and automatic invitations to State Championships.
- Advancement to State also opens the door to potential Invitation to Worlds Championships which will be confirmed after the State competition on March 10th.

Based upon Skills scores (separate from teamwork) at this Competition these 3 advancing teams positioned themselves for an ‘Open’ invitation to Worlds which they can earn Automatic Invitation at State Championship or World open invitation based upon Skills Scores.

Forest Glen 4th team (10525C) is going to celebrate with the other teams, and will then shut down for the season.
 
All of these teams improved throughout the season and below is listing of their Awards from the 3 competitions they attended:

Robot Skills Champion Award (VIQC) at Plainfield PCSC
Teamwork Champion Award (VIQC) at Plainfield PCSC*
* Earns these teams invitations to State Championship which they will attend and separate CREATE Competition these teams will not attend

STEM Research Project Award (VIQC) at Fall Creek Valley Middle School
Design Award (VIQC) at Blue Academy
Teamwork 2nd Place Award (VIQC) at Plainfield PCSC
Design Award (VIQC) at Plainfield PCSC**
** Earns these teams invitations to State Championship which they will attend
 
Team 10525 C
*** Team C didn’t win any awards but improved from finishing last place in Teamwork Challenges to 11th and 5th place by 3rd and final competition.
