Why Choose Lawrence Township for Your Early Childhood Education?

Research shows a direct correlation between high-quality early learning and children's positive long-term outcomes in life, including increased educational attainment, healthier lifestyles, and more successful careers. NAEYC Accreditation helps teachers and other staff at early learning programs develop a shared understanding and commitment to quality. The accreditation process leads to increased staff morale, greater staff retention, and a more positive, energetic work atmosphere overall—enabling centers to provide a solid foundation for all children's success in life.

NAEYC Accreditation helps families recognize quality early learning programs and feel comfortable knowing that their children are receiving a high-quality, research-based education that will prepare them for future success. NAEYC Accreditation offers programs access to continuous quality-improvement , the latest research on best practices, training, technical assistance, visibility on family-focused search engines (including NAEYC’s own program search database), and much more.

Level 4 – National Accreditation
Level 4 programs are the highest rated programs and have demonstrated a commitment to the highest level of professionalism in high quality child care—achievement of a nationally recognized accreditation. Level 4 programs are managed by a provider or director who has volunteered to provide mentoring to others in the field.

We are excited to offer our Spanish speaking families the opportunity to maintain and grow in their child’s Heritage language and English through our One-Way Dual Language programing offered currently at ELC Winding Ridge and ELC Brook Park. The ability to read, write, listen, and speak in both languages has proven results in the success of students educational outcomes and career path. (Each year, MSD Lawrence graduates the most students in the state of Indiana with the Certificate of Multilingual proficiency and it all begins in Preschool and Kindergarten by building a strong biliteracy foundation.)

All enrolling families (Preschool of the Arts or Kindergarten) must go to Skyward and create an account in order to begin the enrollment process. If you already have a student enrolled in the district, you will begin the enrollment process by using your current Skyward Log In.

1. Families must complete the student online enrollment application, upload the required documentation in Step 5 of the New Student Online Enrollment Application in Skyward and receive an email confirmation that student is enrolled.
